Newspaper Clipping layouts created using Indesign for the upcoming film 'Once Upon a Bully', which sets out to educate the public on the implications of certain actions to towards people. These clippings will form part of a scrapbook of one of the characters.
This is the typeface I created to go alongside my final major project, to create the typeface I used the sides of a hexagon to create each character, the inspiration for this came from old football which used hexagon panels. The typeface was used to create the GRLM Football Crest Logo.
This is the second poster which went alongside the video I created for the Mcdonalds brief for second year. This poster, although very striking tries to add a soft and gentle element to the way Mcdonalds advertise for children.
Last month I posted an updated where I was re-touching my 1st year work and never really got round to uploading the finished piece due to exhibitions and moving houses. This poster was completed in a few hours and here it is in all it's glory.
A few days ago, i posted up the homepage of the website that i am currently designing. Here is another small update. With the homepage, news page and league pages completed, i am currently in the process of designing a few more pages i.e competition pages and article pages. Once this is done, I will be coding up the website using Dreamweaver, i already have a basic knowledge of the program. Although this will be quite a challenge, i am up always up for a challenge no matter how difficult the task may seem.
A few more designs will be posted for the website today.
I was approached by GKF Business Schools to design a logo/crest for the company. The crest itself was inspired by the past. As part of the design i took the decision to introduce Latin type and I picked the latin words of 'Crescat scientia vita excolatur' which translates to 'Let knowledge grow, Let life be enriched'.
As The Hive exhibition is drawing ever closer, i have decided to take a bit of time out and re-work some 1st and 2nd year work. This was an exhibition poster i designed for one of the 1st uni project. Looking back, my skills have greatly improved.
Due to the quality of the work i have produced for my FMP, i decided to see if the posters would be able to get featured on websites and i started with one of the biggest creative magazines in the UK, Creative Review. And to my luck they both got featured! which i am very happy about.
For the second poster, i observed many objects and items that were synonymous with grassroots football and using my grassroots latest logo, i developed a medal poster to give off an overall triumphant feel and nature to the poster. compared to the previous poster, this poster remains very simple which is what i was looking for when designing the second poster
The posters have all also appeared on Creative Review on their Feed section and can be viewed on their site by following this link http://www.creativereview.co.uk/feed
Grassroots Latest - 'Dedicated To Grassroots' poster
Above is a poster i developed to coincide with my final major project. The overall inspiration for the poster was based on football tactical arrows which outline formation, movement and positioning of football players. I set out to create a typographical poster using these arrows to visualise the tagline for my magazine and i believe i have achieved this.
As a requirement for the End of Year Show taking place at The Hive, all students were asked to design and illustrate a word for the invite. Although adjectives were asked to be designed, i took the decision to design an invite which tells the viewer exactly what to expect when they see my exhibition.
I settled on the word 'Grassroots' and illustrated a very comic like football in action and this is able to add a dynamic feel to the invite. I will be tinkering with this design as i believe the motion lines of thefootball need a bit more white added to them.
